Qatar vs Canada Best Odds
* Odds from Betway, correct at time of writing.
Qatar’s second game at the 2026 World Cup will see them take on hosts Canada at BC Place in Vancouver, with kickoff at 00:00 CAT on Friday, June 19. Both nations claimed a point from their opening Group B fixtures, and Canada will fancy their chances of a first win in front of a home crowd while Qatar will look to frustrate again. Qatar vs Canada Analysis
Qatar
Qatar produced a disciplined display to earn a point in their opening fixture, equalising deep into stoppage time courtesy of an own goal, and Julen Lopetegui will want another organised performance here. Akram Afif is their main creative threat and Almoez Ali gives them a proven finisher, but they will spend long spells without the ball against the hosts. With no fresh injury or suspension issues in their camp, my read on this is that they will set up to frustrate, but holding out for the full match against a strong Canada side is a tall order.
Predicted Lineup: Abunada; Al-Oui, Miguel, Khoukhi, Ahmed; Gaber, Fathy, Laye; Abdurisag, Afif, Edmilson Junior.
Canada
Canada were excellent for spells in their opener and grabbed a deserved point through Cyle Larin, and a second home game in front of their own fans should suit them. The big question is Alphonso Davies, who has been racing back from a hamstring injury and remains a doubt for this fixture, though Jesse Marsch has plenty of attacking options regardless. Jonathan David leads a dangerous front line and I expect Canada to dominate possession and territory. In my opinion they have far too much for Qatar and should turn their pressure into goals this time.
Predicted Lineup: Crepeau; Johnston, De Fougerolles, Cornelius, Laryea; Eustaquio, Kone, Millar; J. David, Oluwaseyi, Buchanan.
Qatar vs Canada Prediction
Canada have home advantage, the better players and more attacking threats, and I expect them to break down the Qatar defence over the course of ninety minutes. Once the opener arrives I can see this turning into a comfortable home win. My forecast: Qatar 0 Canada 3.
Qatar vs Canada Best Bet
BTTS: No (1.54)
Qatar managed just one goal in their opener and will be set up to defend for long periods, which points to them struggling to find the net against the hosts. Canada have the defensive personnel to keep a clean sheet at home. I am happy to back BTTS: No at 1.54 as my best bet.
