World Cup 2026 - Colombia vs Portugal

Portugal vs Colombia Best Odds

Portugal take on Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday morning, with kickoff at 01:30 CAT in the final round of Group K. Portugal can finish top of the group with a win, while Colombia have already secured their place in the knockout rounds and may manage their resources. Portugal vs Colombia Analysis

Portugal

Portugal responded to a frustrating draw with Congo DR by thrashing Uzbekistan five goals to nil, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring twice. Ronaldo continues to lead the line and Bruno Fernandes pulls the strings behind him. Ruben Dias is carrying a minor knock but is expected to start at the back. With top spot and a kinder route through the bracket on offer, I expect Roberto Martinez to field a strong side.

Predicted Lineup: Costa; Cancelo, Dias, Veiga, Mendes; Vitinha, Neves; B. Silva, Fernandes, Felix; Ronaldo.

Colombia

Colombia have been excellent, winning both matches to book their place with a game to spare. James Rodriguez remains the creative hub and the two Luis’, Diaz and Suarez, are their most dangerous attackers in the final third. With qualification already wrapped up, there is a real chance Nestor Lorenzo rests some key players or eases off the intensity. My read on this is that a rotated Colombia may lack their usual edge against a motivated Portugal.

Predicted Lineup: Vargas; Munoz, Lucumi, D. Sanchez, Mojica; Lerma, Puerta, Arias; James, L. Suarez, L. Diaz.

Portugal vs Colombia Prediction

Portugal have a greater need to win and the firepower to take advantage if Colombia ease off. I expect Colombia to carry a threat on the counter, but Portugal should have enough to win a game with goals in it. My forecast: Portugal 2 Colombia 1.

BTTS: Yes (1.87)

I am backing both teams to score. Colombia have found the net in every group game and Portugal looked open in their draw with Congo DR. Even a rotated Colombia carries danger through Diaz, so I expect both sides to score and 1.87 offers value.
