Haiti vs Morocco Analysis
Haiti
Barring a huge win in this one, Haiti are out of the tournament, beaten 1-0 by Scotland and then swept aside 3-0 by Brazil, and Sebastien Migne and his chargers now have little left to play for beyond pride. Frantzdy Pierrot remains the focal point up front with Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor offering pace in behind, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde of Wolves provides the most quality in midfield. The defence has looked stretched against quicker opponents and conceded freely against Brazil, which is a serious worry against this Morocco attack. In my opinion Haiti will struggle to contain a side chasing goals, and I expect them to sit deep and try to limit the damage.
Predicted Lineup: Placide; Arcus, Ade, Duverne, Delcroix, Experience; Providence, Bellegarde, Jean-Jacques, Casimir; Isidor.
Morocco
Morocco have been excellent so far in this tournament, drawing 1-1 with Brazil and edging Scotland 1-0 thanks to Ismael Saibari, and they go into this match level with Brazil but needing goals to win the group on goal difference. Brahim Diaz is in superb form after finishing as top scorer at the recent AFCON, and Ayoub El Kaabi led the Atlas Lions for goals in qualifying, so the firepower is there to punish a beaten Haiti side. Captain Achraf Hakimi has shaken off an earlier thigh problem and gives Morocco a constant outlet down the right, while Salbari showed what he can do up front with the only goal against Scotland. My read on this is that Morocco will attack from the first whistle to earn a healthy win and give themselves a chance at finishing atop their group.
Predicted Lineup: Bounou; Hakimi, Diop, Riad, Mazraoui; El Aynaoui, Bouaddi; Diaz, Ounahi, El Khannouss; Salibari.
Haiti vs Morocco Prediction
Morocco have every incentive to chase goals here as they fight Brazil for top spot, and Haiti have nothing to defend after their elimination. I expect the Atlas Lions to control possession, score early and keep pushing for the margin that wins the group. My forecast: Haiti 0 Morocco 3.
Haiti vs Morocco Best Bet
BTTS: No (1.55)
Haiti looked toothless against Brazil and rarely threatened, and against a Morocco defence marshalled by Aguerd and Hakimi I see very little coming from them. With Morocco motivated to keep a clean sheet while piling forward for goal difference, I am backing BTTS: No at 1.55 as the standout value, paired with a comfortable Morocco win.
