Bosnia-Herzegovina

Bosnia-Herzegovina earned a creditable draw in their opening match and they will take confidence from that into this game. My one concern is up front, where captain Edin Dzeko is being managed carefully after a shoulder problem and may again start on the bench, leaving Ermedin Demirovic to lead the line. Sergej Barbarez has a tidy midfield and some exciting young talent in Bajraktarevic, but I expect them to sit deeper against stronger opposition. My read on this is that they will struggle to create enough opportunities to find the back of the net.

Switzerland

Switzerland are the class act in this group and I was impressed by their control in the opener, even if a late own goal cost them two points. Granit Xhaka pulls the strings in midfield and Murat Yakin has a settled, experienced side with no fresh injury or suspension worries. Breel Embolo offers a reliable focal point, with Ndoye and Vargas providing pace from wide areas. In my opinion their defensive solidity and superior quality should be enough to see off a limited Bosnia attack.

Predicted Lineup: Kobel; Widmer, Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez; Freuler, Xhaka; Vargas, Rieder, Ndoye; Embolo.

Switzerland are the stronger and more reliable side, and I expect their defensive structure to keep a fragile Bosnia attack quiet. A controlled win to nil looks the likely outcome. My forecast: Bosnia-Herzegovina 0 Switzerland 2.

Bosnia have a real shortage of attacking quality, especially with Dzeko short of full fitness, and Switzerland kept things tight for most of their opener.
